He fired a gun off official duty, IPK seeks police suspension

Kosovo Police Inspectorate, based on legal authorisations, has recommended the police -- provisional to a police officer at the Centre Police Station, the Regional Directorate of Pristina Police.

Inspectorate investigators have begun to take investigative action after receiving information about an incident that occurred last night in a village in Kamenica municipality, where it is allegedly involved as a police official.

“From initial investigative actions allegedly the official in question has used the weapon outside the official task by firing for vague motives so far”, the IPK report said.

The Founding Prosecutor in Gjilan has been notified of the case and authorized The IPK to initiate preliminary investigation procedures regarding suspicion of criminal activity “the use of weapons or dangerous tool” while the case is under way in regular procedure and the weapon is seized for the purposes of further examination.

IPK investigators will continue to take other investigative actions in co-ordination with the competent prosecutor towards lighting all circumstances related to the incident./Periscopi/
