The EU is prepared to take the necessary steps to protect its interests if the US continues with the establishment of a 30% fee for European goods starting on August 1st, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said on Saturday.
Von der Leyen, who heads the EU executive arm, said in a statement that the bloc remains ready “to continue working towards an agreement by August 1st”, reports Reuters, broadcast Periscope.
