Emergency Management Agency has announced that the situation with fires in the country has been heavy as a result of temperatures as well as strong winds, reports Periscope.
According to the report, over the last 24 hours, 66 cases of fires have been recorded, while there are eight hot spots in these municipalities: Peja, Lipjan, Shpee, Malisheva, Skenderaj, Istog, Ferizaj, Gjilan.

The Agency for Emergency Management reports that the situation with the fires has been significantly aggravated by temperatures as well as strong winds.
Statistics (24 hours)
A total of 66 fire cases have been recorded.
Only during today's afternoon were 57 cases reported.
Fire units have been successfully interviewed and managed to extinguish most of them.
Currently, 8 hotbeds are active in these municipalities: Peja, Lipjan, Shpee, Malisheva, Skenderaj, Istog, Ferizaj, Gjilan.
Status
During the day there has been an increase in fires in several regions of the country.
Some of these fires have involved considerable surfaces of land and forests and are difficult to locate because of the terrain and rapid spread of the flames.
Firefighters are on the ground with full capacity, in co-operation with the Kosovo Police and local structures.
The risk of fires remains high. The agency appeals to citizens who:
Avoid lighting fires in open spaces.
Report immediately every suspected hearth in emergency numbers 112, 193, 192.
We urge citizens to be careful and, at the same time, urge them to report every person suspected of the fires.
The Emergency Management Agency is constantly monitoring the situation and will inform the public of regular reports.
