Disturbing figures from IPK ʹ just monthly June brought 208 complaints against police officials

According to the official report, a total of 208 complaints have been accepted during June, translated into an average of 6.9 complaints per day, or 52 per week, writes Periscope.
Of these complaints, 136 have been classified as disciplinary violations, which have been forwarded to the Directorate for Internal Investigation and Verifiation of the Past within the Kosovo Police themselves, writes Periscope.
Under criminal investigation, the IPK Investigation Department has accepted 72 new cases of criminal investigation, reflecting an added dynamic in the pursuit of more serious violations. And so, The IPK has issued 10 recommendations for suspension of police officials who have temporarily left office in the interest of investigations, and 7 officials suspected of illegal acts have been arrested.
In addition to the investigation, the IPK Inspection Department has conducted a series of monitoring activities to ensure that Kosovo Police structures act in line with operational laws and standards.
During the month, regular and extraordinary inspections have been conducted at several police stations.
At the Podujevo and SPPC Police Station in Gjilan, extraordinary inspections have been held regarding secondary employment management, which have concluded with final reports.
And according to the IPK, the citizens' response assessment and reporting of activities has been assessed as regular.
An extraordinary inspection of the use of technology for measuring speed of movement is also under way.
As for the IPK's commitment in a legal way, for the month of May there were submitted 12 criminal charges to the State Prosecutor; 3 separate reports and 2 information reports also sent to the Prosecutor.
While 39 cases have been prosecuted in the Directorate for Internal Investigation (DHB), the Directorate for General Procedure in the Kosovo Police (DPP-PK) and the IPK Archive. /Periscope/
