Their presence on the ground is important for maintaining a safe and sustainable environment, while regular interaction with the local population helps strengthen confidence in KFOR and reinforces its impartial role throughout the region”, KFOR reports.
KFOR also emphasises that “continues to implement its mandate based on UN Security Council Resolution 1244 in 1999 to contribute to a safe and secure environment for all people and communities living in Kosovo and freedom of movement at any time and impartially.
