European Council President Antonio Costa, in a letter to the Albanian MP in the Serbian parliament, Shaip Kamberi, which holds the 18 July date, has assured him that the EU is carefully following the treatment of national minorities, including the Albanian community in Serbia.
As Kamberi has announced in a Facebook post, the letter comes in response to another sent to the European official's address on February 25th, broadcasts Clankosova.tv.
According to what it says on paper, Costa emphasises minorities will play an important role within Serbia's commitments in the EU membership process. From Serbia, it is expected to approach its legal framework for minority rights with international and European standards./Periscopi/
