Not rare are the cases when suspicious situations that alarm authorities are reported at Pristina Airport, but what happened yesterday has raised serious security concerns.

A suspected weapon was found in mysterious circumstances within the men's toilet at “Adem Jashari” Airport, around 13:30, forcing the police to intervene immediately.

The signal learns the gun was wrapped in paper beans, placed suspiciously in one of the toilet corners. After she found it, the worker immediately reported the case, where police units, who have taken the photograph and sequencing of the weapon, have emerged at the scene.

According to initial data, the weapon found is suspected to be imitation, with the inscription “X coordinate IN SHIJI see Made in China”

At the moment, the suspected person has not been identified, while the investigation unit is analyzing the security cameras within the facility to illuminate circumstances and responsibility.

By order of the State Attorney, the case has been initiated as “retaining ownership, control or unauthorized possession of the weapon”.
