Ben Meir has said that LV leader Albin Kurti should end such a political blockade, since according to the American professor, this will not translate well into new elections whenever they are held.
It is difficult to imagine how a small country that is experiencing major economic difficulties and is in constant conflict with its neighbours is still under a guardian government four months after national elections. Prime Minister Kurti must end the blockade, as this situation does not speak well of him when, imminent, new elections will be held”, Ben Meir wrote.
When talking about possible solutions, American Professor Ben Meir says the proposal by LDK leader Lumir Abdixhiku should be taken very seriously.
Moreover, the Kosovo Democratic League leader “'s proposal for a national unity government led by a politically neutral figure where party leaders are excluded from executive roles and ministries led by professionals of all parties dealt with seriously and set a new date for the elections. This transitional government will focus on restoring institutional functionality and implementing urgent reforms until holding new elections”, it has added further.
