America wants the removal of economic barriers: Government to promote a transparent environment for American businesses

We see opportunities for economic co-operation in Kosovo in several sectors, including energy, defence, infrastructure, information and communication technology, as well as cyber security. Removing barriers to American exports would result in increased trade”, an American Embassy spokesperson for REL said.
“We encourage public and private sectors in Kosovo to continue seeking economic opportunities and investments in the American market, and for Government to promote a transparent and sustainable environment for American businesses seeking to expand in Kosovo”, he said.
This stance also coincides with Kosovo's efforts to enhance economic co-operation with the US, especially after President Vjosa Osmani's visit to Washington this month.
During meetings with senior American officials, including Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau, she said she was talking about the importance of creating a new economic partnership, with a focus on energy, defence and information technology sectors.
Radio Free Europe found that the topic of discussion was also the possibility of collaboration in the mining sector.
