Albania's consulate opens in Struga

At a time when the mobility of our citizens has increased significantly both for tourism and for seasonal and economic commitments, the needs for consular services have become more urgent. But this consulate will not just be a document office but a functional bridge between the Albanian state and its citizens -- a space that offers services and affirms institutional care”, said Igli Hasani, Albania's foreign minister.

Hasani said Albania is witnessing active approaches to regional integration and joint development, while also stressed the important role of the Albanian political factor in Macedonia's Euro-integration process.

The Albanian political sector has played and continues to play an irreplaceable role, from the important processes of statehood and democratisation to the unequivocal support for integration and common Euro-Atlantic travel, whose contribution is fundamental. I especially welcome the maturity and co-operation that Albanian political forces have shown in support of this path by putting common interest in party interests”, said Igli Hasani, Albania's foreign minister.

Foreign Minister Timco Mukunski said the consulate will be a closer relationship of citizens with reciprocal institutions, writes Alsat. mk, broadcast Periscope.

The General Consultation will enable citizens easier access to consular services and closer connections of both countries' institutions, which are of particular importance to people who daily move across the border due to family ties, businesses, transit or tourism. This will reinforce economic development, as well as higher cultural exchange.
