This is one of the biggest burning surfaces in the last decade.
Compared to the year 2023, the fires dropped this year, most of which in the second part of July, have burned an area 5 times greater.
Calculating costs for reforestation, costs for land regeneration and losses from burning timbers, economic damage from this year's fires is estimated at over 160m euros.
The assessment of costs is made by the European Fire Information System in Forestry, which has so far tracked 58 sites that have spread to forests and pastures.
Clouds of the last few days have extinguished almost all the hearths, but the possibility of August creating similar situations is not ruled out.
According to data from the Institute of Statistics, Vlora, Shkodra, Dibra, Bulqiza, Librazd and Corca are the highest rated areas of deforestation, mainly as a result of fires.
