During 2024, the results of this survey show that the exploited area of agricultural land was 420 228,67ha (including the common land), which compared with the preceding 2023 (which was 420 688,21ha ha) has a decline in land surface use of 456,3ha.

The Fall in Common Land
Out of the total area exploited by agricultural land in 2017, the majority belong to meadows and pastures (including the common land), 216 534,33 ha (51,53%), compared to the preceding 2023 (which was 216 979,55 ha), or 51,85%. The decline of the surface used in the common land was the result of the decline in livestock.
Light growth is seen in cereals and industrial cultures
The arable land ) fields participate in 44,93% and gardens with 0.02% in a total area used by agricultural land.
During the year 2024, a total of arable land was 188 795.00 ha. Most were of these: cereals (125 274,35 ha), or 66.4%; forger plant (3717.13 ha, or 19,7%); open-field vegetables, greenhouses and gardens (9827.39 ha), of which open field vegetables and greenhouses were 8 914,65 ha or 4,7%; potatoes (3806.07 ha or 2.0%); legume (29.40,240 ha), industrial plant (189,2 ha 0.9%; other cultures (2.33 ha) or 64%; and yesterday it was 429% land.
Watered surface, at least once during the 2024 reference period, was 34 070.28 ha.
And the total area covered by pesticides in 2017 was 122,570,50 ha.

The results of this survey show that the livestock in Kosovo during 2024 was 240 848, with a slight decline compared to the preceding 2023 (which was 247 493).

Easy Growth in the Number of Sheep
As for the sheep, during 2024 their number was 211 220, where compared with the preceding year 2023 (which was 207 123 sheep), there is a slight increase.

This publication provides summary data for: plant farming cultures (exploitation of agricultural land, plant productivity, agricultural inputs (orterics, organics, pesticides); livestock (the species, sales, livestock products), and agricultural expenses.
The methodology and standards applied at AEB 2024 (definitions ʹ definitions, questionnaire, and guide) are harmonised with Eurostat recommendations.
