A vehicle has crashed into a Serbian license truck, and, as a result, has left the road, ending up in the canal.
A woman about 60 has lost her life and 4 other people have been injured, one of whom has headed towards the trauma hospital in Tirana.
Among the injured is reported to be a child.
Local residents and police made efforts to get the wounded out of the channel, Top Channel correspondents Klodian Zivani and Bridgedilda Deda report.
Some ambulances from Lezha, Shkodra, and Vau of the Sea have come to the aid of the wounded.
