So said Constitutive session leader Avni Dehari yesterday after the secret vote commission got 39 votes.
Last night, the end of the constitutional hearing was held around 8:00 after a false bomb alarm. She only lasted a few minutes again.
This next failure comes despite President Vjosa Osmani's meetings with parliamentary parties to help find a way out and its warnings that there will be judicial consequences if the Assembly is not made by 26 July.
The Constitutional Court issued an act of justice on June 26th that obliges MPs to constitutionalise the Parliament within 30 days, but did not elaborate on the consequences if the deadline is not respected.
Osmani said he would address the court if MPs form the legislature institution soon.
The hearing, called to elect the Speaker of the Parliament and to continue with the other steps of the constitution, was unsuccessful, due to the lack of compliance among political parties over the formation of a secret vote commission for the Parliament's chairmanial candidate, Albulen Haxhiu.
Long ago, the largest parties -- the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK), the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) and the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK) -- have rejected the Vetevendosje Movement proposal that Haxhiu, incumbent Justice Minister, be elected at the helm of the Parliament.
They have named Haxhiu “divisive figure” and have asked Vetevendosje, the winner of the election, to come with a different name.
Despite that, Vetevendosje has not given up, saying the president's name proposal is the exclusive right of the election winner and that Haxhi is a merit candidate./Periscopi/
