Over 24 thousand fines in the Gjakova region since 1 January

“As a result of these activities from January 1st to July 14th 2025, a total of 24 thousand and 115 fines have been pronounced for counterintravention in traffic, while a total of 1st and 2nd driver's license has been received as a safeguard against executives who have risked overall road safety. In addition, lectures have been held in various schools, informing and educating students of safe conduct during their participation in road communication. Traffic accidents, compared with the same period last year, have seen significant declines in all categories, such as fatal accidents, bodily injuries, and material accidents. The total number of traffic accidents has hit 24%. ”

The Regional Director of Police in Gjakova will continue with regular and planned activities aimed at preventing accidents and increasing the level of security for all participants in communications, putting emphasis on education, awareness and implementation of legal regulations in traffic. ”/Periscope/
