At least 161 people are still missing in Kerr County, Texas, following the powerful floods that left more than 100 dead, 94 of them in the Kerrville area alone.
Among the missing are five girls, and a steward from a summer camp writes, BBC, broadcast Periscope.
Governor Greg Abbott said rescue efforts continue with helicopters, fears and over 250 responders on the ground. The president of the local airport described the situation as “a nightmare”, while rescue volunteers report massive destruction and extreme difficulties in research.
Authorities agree they were warned of the storm, but no one expected a 30m-high water subx1>. Criticals have been raised for lack of warnings and time evacuations. /Periscope/
