For Bosnian media it was confirmed that after fourteen years of successful work in the Balkans, the regional television project Al Jazeera Balkans is closing.
It is a subsidiary of Qatar's media concert, which has acted very successfully in the Balkans, with headquarters in Sarajevo since 2011.
Al Jazeera Balkans covered the regional market with offices in Belgrade, Zagreb, Podgorica, Skopje, Ljubljana and Pristina, reports Telegraph, broadcast Periscope .
In the past 14 years, Al Jazeera Balkans has been particularly familiar with its original content related to the documentary segment, but also with a number of other projects.
It is the first television station to broadcast a program in a language other than Arabic and English.
Al Jazeera Balkans has been present in Sarajevo since mid-September 2010, when he bought local television station NTV Studio from company “PEP” owned by Adil Kulenovic.
The reasons for closure have not yet been announced, but it is supposed to be a business decision by Doha because of financial reasons. /Periscope/
