During this episode, bringing to the attention of Albin Kurti's accusatory and critical rhetoric while he was an opposition, we've been analyzing spending along his last rule.
Through the approach to public documents that T7 spotlight has requested that between 2021 and the first half of 2025, the expenses of Prime Minister Kurti's office have followed a growing trajectory.
The year 2021 marked a steady start, where Kurt had a cost of more than 9,000 euros, while his political staff spent about 10 thousand euros, mainly on co-operation and travel tickets. This period may also have been influenced by restrictive measures of the COVID-19.
In 2022 the landscape was markedly changed. The prime minister increased spending to over 32,000 euros, while political staff exceeded 87 thousand euros in ticket and accommodate, including the wages. This period also marks over 54 thousand euros dedicated for state and lunch receptions and dinner.
The year 2023 brought an enormous increase in costs for Kurt and staff, with a total of about $90,000 for travel tickets, as well as transportation costs affected the estimated 100,000 euros.
In 2024 the trend of growth does not stop. On the contrary, it explodes. Only Albin Kurti spent from Kosovo's state budget more than 37 thousand euros on airport tickets and accommodated hotels. The political staff amounts to the staggering figure of nearly 150,000 euros, including the wages.
And for state reception, ceremony and official dinner, it's worth 112 thousand euros this was no longer just a year's work, but it became a year of spending records.
In the first six months of 2025, expenses are already significant. The prime minister spent over 10,000 euros, while political staff has implemented expenses exceeding 41 thousand euros. Although it is only half the year, lunch and dinner are spent over 48 thousand euros.
Albin Kurti in all of this has saved the state budget only by not taking a raise, but his staff did not do the same, which for 4 and a half years earned 85 thousand euros in total. /Periscope/
