This comes a few hours after a announcement by the Kosovo Commercial Court, which announced that it has suspended the execution of an ERE announcement banning a designated power supply company through universal service.
Kosovo's Economic Oda reacted to the court's decision, saying it suspends the announcement of the energy regulator for mandatory exit of businesses to the free electricity market, Periscope.
She asked Z The RRE will suspend the announcement on the free energy market and prohibit any “action that could negatively affect the functioning of businesses”.
But, the energy regulator clarified about the REL that it's an individual case involving a single company, not all businesses.
Currently, the universal service supplier in Kosovo is KESCO.
According to the ZERE decision, all major businesses with over 50 employees or with annual circulation of over 10m euros (June 1st) are obliged to go to the open market, which means they have to choose their own electricity supplier.
This decision has been rejected by the business community, arguing that companies licensed for energy trading are offering very high prices. /Radio Europe Free/
