Ymer Gashi, one of the historical figures of the Kosovo political scene known for his extraordinary contribution to the road towards independence and the establishment of institutions of the Republic of Kosovo.
Ymer Gashi was the delegate to the Kosovo Assembly and one of the signatories of the July 2nd 1990 Declaration of Independence, as well as of the Cacanic Constitution, thus entering the country's political history as one of the courageous voices of time.
In addition to his involvement at the central level, he has served for a period also as the mayor of the Suhareka municipality before the 1990s, making an important contribution to local development and consolidation of municipal structures in difficult times.
The burial of Ymer Gashi will take place, June 22, 2025, in the village of Muhlan in Suhareka.
And at 1500 p.m., under the auspices of the current Suhareka municipality chairman Bali Muharremaj will be held in a coma, where life and its work will be commemorated in the presence of family, institutional representatives, collaborators and citizens. /Periscopi/
