Kosovo has lost a wise, dedicated and highly human and state-building man like Bujar Bukoshi. His devotion to freedom and statehood will remain an integral part of our national history. In these moments of pain, I was deeply involved with the Bukoshi family and with all those who shared the ideal for a free and democratic Kosovo. May his memory and his work” be forever written by Jahjaga.
Bukoshi died today after a long battle with a serious illness at the age of 78. He was one of the best-known figures in Kosovo's political and health scene.
