The president of the United States, Donald Trump, has reacted to the tragic plane crash in India, where an Air India company plane with 242 people on board crashed and blew up in flames, just minutes after boarding Ahmedabad Airport.
In a public statement, Trump named the event a terrible “ ” and expressed US readiness to assist Indian authorities. “No one had any idea what happened, at first seemed to fly well”, the American president declared at first.
He added further: “I believe is one of the worst accidents in aviation history. ”
Trump expressed condolences to the victims' families and promised US support for search-saving operations and investigations whether this would be required by the Indian side.
He stressed that the US stands near India at this difficult moment, expressing international solidarity after the tragedy.
