Nighttime AttacksIranian Forces launched several missile waves to Israel during the night until Saturday. Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said it targeted Israeli military centres and air bases in missile attacks Friday. Meanwhile, Tehran's air defence system was active early Saturday following another round of Israeli attacks, Iranian state media reported.
Grasp and injury: The Israeli Army claimed to have caught some of the last wave of Iranian missiles, but there are reports of people trapped under the ruins of buildings as well as destroyed or damaged homes. Emergency crews were responding to dropped shells. Strong explosions were heard in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem.
Death and Injure: Iran's revenge attacks have killed at least two people, Israeli authorities said. One person was killed and more than 20 were injured after an Iranian missile struck near houses in Rishon Lesion, south of Tel Aviv. And a woman was killed when a gun fragment fell on Ramat Gan, also near Tel Aviv. Israel's envoy to the US earlier said about 40 people were injured. In Iran, at least 78 people were killed in Israeli attacks, including top military officials, Iran's UN envoy, Amir Saeid Irrani, said on Friday. More than 320 people were injured, most of them civilians, he added.
Air Force bases targeted in Iran: The Israeli Army said it hit two Iranian Air Force bases used for missile operations and fears Qaeda on Friday. These include the Hamadan air base in western Iran, the Tabriz air base, a land-land launching site, northwest of the country.
Warnings: Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz said late Friday that Iran had “crossed red lines” by shooting at civilian population centres and pledged to pay a very serious “prime”. Iran said it would intensify its attacks on Israel and target the regional bases of any country trying to protect it. Netanyahu warned Iran on Friday that “more are on the road”.
Nuclear talks: A sixth round of nuclear talks between the US and Iran was due to begin on Sunday. US President Donald Trump told Reuters Washington's talks with Iran are still planned, though he is not sure they will continue. Trump told NBC Nea that Iran “may have another option” to reach a nuclear agreement and hint that Iranians are approaching it.
Early Friday, Israel launched a wave of unprecedented attacks on Iran, hitting key countries in the country's nuclear programme, as well as areas inhabited in Iran's capital, Tehran, and killing some of the country's highest-ranking military leaders. Israel had repeatedly postponed the idea of a military option to stop Iran's nuclear programme. He said Friday that Tehran had advanced a “secret program to assemble a” nuclear weapon and was closer than ever to having one. Iran has repeatedly insisted that it is not building a bomb and that its nuclear programme is for energy purposes.
