Ukraine has been invited to next NATO summit, declared Voldymyr Zelensky.
The Netherlands will be hosting a summit of NATO leaders in The Hague on 24-25 June, and is expected to be one of the summit's main topics of military and political support for Ukraine.
Regarding the summit, the Ukrainian president has said that “ne was invited to the NATO summit. I think this is important”.
Zelensky has not specified who will represent Ukraine in this event, reports Skynews.
The Ukrainian leader has called for NATO to offer security guarantees to Ukraine in the event of a ceasefire or peace agreement with Russia.
He has also postponed before demanding that Ukraine become a member of the defence coalition, even declaring he is willing to give up the presidency for that purpose.
Meanwhile, Moscow has declared that conditions for ending the war in Ukraine include the demand that Western leaders pledge in writing that they will stop NATO's eastward expansion. /Periscope/
