Turkish President Recep Tayip Erdoğan has held a telephone conversation with his Iranian counterpart, Masoud POSkian, where he has condemned Israel's attacks on Iran and warned that they risk escalation in the region, the Anadolu broadcast.
According to Turkey's Communications Directorate, the two presidents discussed the Israeli-Iran conflict together with broader regional and global issues.
Erdoğan expressed condolences for lives lost in Israeli attacks and said the attacks are part of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyah's efforts to sabotage nuclear negotiations, reports DW, broadcast Periscope.
He also stressed that Israel is trying to distract the international community from genocide in Gaza.
The Turkish president said Ankara is closely monitoring reports of a possible nuclear flow in Iran's Natanz facility and reaffirmed diplomacy is the only sustainable road ahead for nuclear issues. /Periscope
