The US “Sulmi on 22 June towards the nuclear power plants of the Islamic Republic of Iran has maximized the risk we have repeatedly highlighted the escalation of conflict and destabilising the security environment”, the Turkish Ministry's statement said.

“Disagreements on Iran's nuclear programme can only be resolved through negotiations”, Turkey stressed, urging the international community to support diplomatic efforts.
At the same time, Turkey expressed readiness to make constructive contributions to resolving the crisis.
The reaction comes after US President Donald Trump confirmed the air strikes on three Iranian nuclear locations, while Iran called on the UN Security Council for an emergency meeting.
Tensions continue to rise, with multiple casualties on both sides. According to Israeli authorities, at least 25 people have lost their lives in Iranian attacks, while in Iran authorities report over 430 killed in Israeli attacks./Periscopi/
