The US president made these comments at Fort Bragg on Tuesday (10 June) during a celebration of the 250th anniversary of the Army.
During his speech, Trump boasted thousands of troops he has deployed in Los Angeles amid protests against his administration's raids on immigration.
The president falsely condemned the demonstrators as a cruel and violent <x0turm”, falsely claiming that many of them burned the US flag during clashes with rule forces.
“People burning the American flag must go to prison for a year”, Trump said.
He took a step further, adding that he is working with several senators for them “made this”.
