After he started talking about internal topics, Leavy addresses the conflict between Israel and Iran.
“E knows there has been a lot of speculation... about the president's decision making and whether the U.S. will be included”, Leavitt said.
Then she read a direct quote from Donald Trump, writes Skynews.
“Based on the fact that there is a considerable chance of negotiations that may or may not be held with Iran in the near future, I will make my decision whether to attack within the next two weeks. ”
Leavitt said that “nobody should be surprised” by Trump's stance that Iran could absolutely not secure a nuclear weapon, adding that it was “unequivocally aware of this for decades”.
When asked if Trump has any expectations ahead of the European foreign secretaries' meeting with their Iranian counterpart tomorrow, Leavitt said the entire world's “is on the side of President”.
The secretary added that the message that Iran cannot secure a nuclear weapon “is something that almost all humanity agree to, except for the Iranian terrorist regime” itself.
The president expects Europe to convey this message directly to Iranians”, she adds. /Periscope/
