United States President Donald Trump is holding a meeting with the national security team in “Situation Room”, according to a White House official, CNN reports.
This meeting is taking place at the time when Trump is considering whether the US should be further involved in the ongoing conflict between Israel and Iran. The American president left the day before the G7 summit in Canada to return to Washington.
Reuters reported earlier that the US Army is raiding more warplanes in the Middle East and extending the stance of several other fighter aircraft, thus strengthening the US military presence in the region as the war between Israel and Iran continues.
One of the officials has claimed that the stations include F-16, F-22 and F-35 fighter aircraft, Reporter.net follows.
Two US officials stressed that the disposal of combat aircraft has a completely protective character, clarifying that these vehicles were previously committed to lowering fears and rockets issued towards military and civilian targets.
The Pentagon has yet to comment on these reports./Periscopi/
