Iranian and Israeli media channels are reporting that the ceasefire between their two nations has begun. But there is still confusion about the exact details of the time of truce.
In his initial announcement, US President Donald Trump said a ceasefire would begin about six hours from his first message to social media announcing progress, which set the time at 12:00 after the east hour.
Shortly after 12: 00 p.m., Israeli and Iranian media began publishing key titles, saying the ceasefire had begun.
Iran's Press TV, which is run by Iran's state television operator, said: “The truce begins after four waves of Iranian attacks on territories occupied by Israel”.
The semi-official Tasnim news agency reported a line on its Telegram channel saying a ceasefire had entered “the implementation phase”.
Israeli media Channel 12 and Yenet also published titles, saying the ceasefire had entered into force.
Iran's state media earlier Tuesday declared that a ceasefire was <x0immed to the enemy”, but did not give a precise time.
The Israeli government has yet to make any official comment. /Periscope/
