In a statement to the media, Topuzi said Kosovo has intensified co-operation with Northern Macedonia to create a relaxed corridor towards Greek destinations, which makes it more attractive for Kosovo vacationers seeking new and more organised alternatives for summer holidays.
The region has become more ready than we are. Kosovo has been linked to Macedonia to cross more easily in Greece. This shows there is a lack of preparation on our part to maintain and boost the interest of Kosovo tourists in Albania”, Topuzi said, stressing that Albania is losing one of the most stable and loyal tourism markets.
He stressed that it is not just about the summer period, but about the potential Albania has to offer an entire tourist experience for young people from Kosovo.
“We are not ready for Kosovo youth, who should be able to come to Albania and spend almost the entire year here. We need to become a place where they feel welcome, engaged, where they have something to do with”, Topuz noted.
According to him, a greater investment in the creation of new tourist activities and products that would attract visitors from Kosovo, not only for the beach, but also for cultural, natural, sports and gastronomic tourism. /A2 CNN/ Periscopi/
