Italians have become the main group of tourists who frequent the country's accommodation facilities with at least 16 percent of the total as visitors from Kosovo come after them with 14 percent, Germany by 8 percent or Poland by 7 percent.
Official data of the accommodation facilities published by the Institute of Statistics shows that in April, hotels marked a significant increase of visitors and net stays, compared to the same month last year.
Thus, total visitors grew by 14.7%, where non-residents marked an increase of 15.3% and residences 13.1%. Meanwhile, total positions rose by 21.3%, where non-residents grew by 23.0%, while those from residents grew by 17.2%.
The largest non-residence of non-resident visitors was marked in non-Braded areas (+8.5%) and in hotels and similar accommodation (+15.5%). Foreign visitors according to the site of the April 2025 residence, most non-resident visitors who were accommodated at host facilities in Albania come from Italy (16%), Kosovo (14%), and Germany (.8%).
Italy is the group that has undergone continued increased visitors to the country year-on-year. This relates to an entire annual meeting of this group, where, thanks to low cost lines, numerous destinations between the two countries, as well as other forms of transportation such as ferries have made access easier.
The Italians are being lured by short-term exploration at the weekends of different regions, already having an approach even towards non-break areas in search of quality tourism or wineries.
Prices remain one of the main factors to dominate this group's approach, which, in relation to Italy, views our country as highly economical, while Tirana remains another short-term preferred station.
Tourists have expectations that Italy will continue to remain a major group for several years with a preference towards individual organisation, while part of the visitors are for the purposes of hospitality as health tourism or business and holidays. Monitor
