In the Pristina municipality from tonight, the space-designment process will begin, Health Director Izet Sadiku announced.
He in an interview for Online Economy said this process would include the disappearance of insects such as flies and mosquitoes that can carry infectious diseases, covering about seven thousand hectares in the capital and surrounding areas.
After the preparations were completed, the space-designing process in the capital begins today on June 18th. It is a process of eliminating insects - flies and mosquitoes, which can be carriers of infectious diseases. The goal is to bring the situation to epidemiological boundaries in order not to create various diseases, considering that the number of insects during summertime is much higher.
The process lasts in six phases, each phase is six days, and about seven thousand hectares are involved in the capital and surrounding villages, where spatial dezination takes place. A very important factor is climate conditions, as the presence of rainfall hinders the process because humidity is an important factor for insect development, while hot weather is not an important factor”, Sadiku told EO, broadcast Periscope.
In the last two weeks, the weather conditions have been in favour of the censorship to prepare properly, Sadiku points out. Dezinectation will take place in six phases, each of six days.
We are interested in maintaining public health. The first day will begin from 8:00 p.m. to late hours. The goal is to be accomplished as soon as possible to have fewer people present. The situation is not loaded, since this year in June we have had no rain and it has been favourable to have the effects of deinctification”, Sadiku said. /Periscope
