Thaci's and others' defence delivers motion until 12 June

Defence teams must file the joint motion by June 12th for the motion to drop the indictment points for Thaci and others.

This motion relates to possible objections to the continuation of the process or to other procedures on the part of defence. While changing the term for the Prosecutor came from the court itself, it follows Periscope.

The Judicial Chamber ordered defence teams to submit the joint motion in line with the 130th rule by June 12th, while the SPS was ordered to hand over its response until July 14th. In this decision, however, the Judicial Chamber found it appropriate to reduce the timeline for the prosecution's response on July 7,”, the announcement said.

Lawyer Ardian Bajraktari estimates that the total collapse of the charges would be an epilogue of this process, but expects that after July 14th it will be seen what the further flow will be.

The “Reference to what has been seen so far, the total collapse of the indictment points would be a real epilog of the end of this prolonged process with multiple violations. It is also noteworthy that depending on the epilogue of the July Court's decision, this will be the decomposing circumstance of this process later. I estimate that at least on the first scale will be completed within this year or next year”, said Ardian Bajraktari, a lawyer.

Thaci, Veselin, Krasniqi and Selimi are being held in custody for 5 years now. / RTK/
