The Supreme Court lowers Rama's demand for progress, decides: Fixing waste management remains in force, bills must be paid in the KR “Cleaning”.
Pristina, 4 June 2025 The Supreme Court of the Republic of Kosovo has rejected as unequivocal Pristina Community's application for the appointment of the provisional measure of security to implement the Order for Change and completion of the Waste Management Adjust approved by the Parliament on December 1, 2023, complete with 05.12.2024 and published in the Official Journal on December 31st, 2024.
This regulation stipulates that the bills for waste service should be paid directly to the KR “Cleaning” US, while the Supreme Court has decided that this regulation remains in force and must be implemented, naming the requirement for temporary suspension.
In its ruling, the Court stresses that “is prohibited from producing the judicial effects of regulation” there is no legal basis and that the suspension of the enforcement of the underground act cannot be made without final decision on its legality. With this, the Court undermines the municipality's claim to cut the legal effects of regulation until it is meritably decided on the indictment.
The court also ruled that the indictment takes a firm form immediately after communicating with the parties./Periscopi/
