Smuggling cigarette smuggling at Pristina Airport HINA Foreign Stetaysa caught 100 sheets with Albanian banners

Kosovo customs has announced it has prevented attempted smuggling cigarettes at Pristina International Airport.

During regular checks at the Pristina International Airport customs checkpoints, customs officials have reportedly banned a foreign citizen who illegally transported 100 patrol cigarettes to Albania, hidden in two personal luggage.

The smuggled “Mall has been confiscated and recorded according to standard procedures, while being placed in storage for legal treatment under the counter-invention procedure. The person involved has initiated relevant actions under the legislation”, said the statement.

Kosovo customs remains committed to protecting state interest, strengthening border controls and preventing any illegal activities that harm the economy and public safety. /Periscopi/
