Bedri Elez, veteran of The KLA and security connoisseur have reacted to the current situation in the Republic of Kosovo following the February 9th 2025 parliamentary elections.
He expresses his concern for failing to establish the ruling Assembly and bodies within the deadline set by the Constitutional Court.
Elez accuses some party leaders of deliberate efforts to block the process and emphasise the consequences of this impasse, citing sanctions, the disruption of international projects, and the weakening of Kosovo's international position.
It also underscores the possibility of interventions of Serbian and Russian intelligence services in domestic political developments, and requires a deepening investigation by Kosovo's Special Prosecutor.
Elez stresses that institutional inaction is no longer an option, but a national risk, which could damage the foundations of democracy and the rule of law in Kosovo.
He calls for responsible action by MPs, support from international partners. /Periscopi/
