Rushiti: Sexual Violence Crime as War Strategy Must Stop

The Kosovar Centre for the rehabilitation of Torture Survivors (QKRMT) is holding a panel discussion in the footnote of June 19th, International Day for the elimination of sexual violence in the conflict.

Feride Rushiti, executive director of the KRCT, said this day invites us to reflect not only on the past. “Unfortunately, even in 2025 when this day is being marked, sexual violence as a weapon is being applied. The crime of sexual violence as a war strategy must be interrupted”, Rushiti said, report Express, broadcast Periscope.

She said they chose to hear stories of survivors, because, as she said, time does not heal the wounds of sexually violated ones during the war. /Periscope/
