Rubio speaks with his counterparts: Iran must never develop or possess nuclear weapons

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has met with British Foreign Minister David Lammy on Thursday, and has held separate telephone conversations with other counterparts from Australia, France and Italy to discuss the war between Israel and Iran, Reuters reports. The American State Department (DASH) has made known [...]
In the American State Department (DASH) they have indicated that Rubio and other foreign affairs ministers have agreed that “Iran should never develop or own nuclear weapons”.
Meanwhile, Lami has written on the social X network that the Middle East situation “continues to be dangerous” and that “a window already exists within the next two weeks to reach diplomatic solution”.
The air war between Iran and Israel began on June 13th, when the Jewish state attacked Tehran has activated the alarm throughout the region, which was on the verge of a new war since the start of Israel's military campaign at the Gaza Strip in 2023.
American President Donald Trump will decide in the next two weeks whether the United States will be involved in war or not, the White House announced Thursday. Trump is keeping the world in expectation as his approach may change from moment to moment.
The White House has also announced that the American president will participate in a National Security meeting Friday morning.
Israel, which is the only country in the Middle East region widely believed to possess nuclear weapons, has claimed the attack on Iran was meant to prevent Tehran from developing its nuclear programme.
On the other hand, Iran, which suggests that its nuclear programme is entirely for peaceful and civilian purposes, has retaliated with new attacks on Israel.
At least 539 people have lost their lives, including 263 civilians, in Iran and more than 1,300 have been injured, based on the records of an Iranian human rights organisation with headquarters in Washington.
Iran has retaliated by launching hundreds of rockets and fears and leaving at least 24 people dead in Israel and wounding hundreds more. /Periscope/
