As reported Reuters, one of the officials has claimed that disposals include F-16, F-22 and F-35 fighter aircraft.
Two US officials stressed that the disposal of combat aircraft has a completely protective character, clarifying that these vehicles were previously committed to lowering fears and rockets issued towards military and civilian targets.
The Pentagon has yet to comment on these reports.
