Rama today welcomes leaders of 13 countries from the region to Albania

Rama, among other things, said that official Tirana is fully committed to boosting the region's progress towards EU integration, broadcasts Periscope.

Tirana received SEECP chairmanship for July 2024 -June 2025, after Skopje, and the next one will be Sofia.
According to the agenda at 2:30 p.m., 1515 delegations from Republika Srpska President Bajram Begaj will be held and then opening words from the head of state. President Bajram Begaj is also expected to hold separate meetings with counterparts and participating leaders to further deepen Albania's co-operation with these countries. At the summit's conclusion, President Begaj will pass his Bulgarian counterpart, Radev, the rotating SEECP chairmanship.
In the end, a press release from Begaj, RMV President Gordana Siljanovska-Davidkova and Bulgaria's Rumen Radev is expected to be held. Albania as the next SEECP leader for the June 2024 period, July 2025, under the slogan “Funding of our European future” has contributed to strengthening regional co-operation, implementing the goals of the Common Regional Market, and accelerating the European integration process. The SEECP consists of 13 participating countries, which are also members of the Regional Co-operation Council Board (RCC), such as: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Greece, Northern Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia, Kosovo and Turkey.
This regional co-operation forum aims to strengthen good neighbourly relations among all participants from Southeast Europe (EJL) and transform this region into an area of peace, security, stability and co-operation, with the main goal of full integration of SEE into European and Euro-Atlantic structures.
Tirana took over the SEECP chairmanship for the July 2024 period, June 2025, after the chairmanship previously held by Skopje, and Sofia will follow. The Southeast European Co-operation Process was initiated in 1996 during the meeting of foreign affairs ministers of countries participating in Sofia, while the first SEECP summit was held in Crete in 1997.
