The chairman of the Kosovo Chamber of Economics (OEK), Lulzim Rafuna, in the protest which is being held in “Square. Skenderbeu”, in Pristina against the Energy Regulatory Office's decision on Free Energy Market has said that today we have gathered against an injustice that is being done towards business, the country's economy and as citizens of the Republic of Kosovo.
We're not here today for luxury. We're not looking for mercy. We're looking for a right of our own. Electricity is light. It's the engine of economic development. Any interference in the energy price is intervention in the living standard of Kosovo citizens”, he has said, Periscopi reports.
Rafuna has asked the Kosovo government to make a package to help businesses during the transition phase.
“We all have a single request give us a phase of dissemination. Prepare the market to cross to the free market. Then there's also a package that all countries in the region have had, Europe, but more broadly, that helped businesses not notice any negative effects not affecting landing or closing and impacting the standards of Kosovo citizens”, he said.
He has shown that no business is against free market exit.
We're not guilty of not preparing the market. We have no competition, we have monopoly. Going to the free market is not against any business going out to the free market. Everyone must know. No business is against free market exit. We want free market, we want competition. We want to go out on the free market with our will non-violent”, he said.
He before the protesters has said they are united, while he has a message for the Government of Kosovo.
The silent “. Those who ignore us won't win. The voice of business will win. The voice of business has won everywhere. Don't lock our doors. Don't waste us”, Rafuna said. /Periscopi
