Aleksandar Vlasic has pleaded guilty to the prosecution of spying and possession without permission at the initial review session held at the Constitutional Court in Pristina on Wednesday, through an agreement on admitting guilt related to the Special Prosecutor of the Republic of Kosovo.

The prosecution has proposed that in the criminal act of spying, Vlasic will be sentenced to effective prison terms of between four years and 6 months and 5 years, including his past time in custody. While for illegal weapons work, the six-month prison sentence has been proposed, with the possibility of being fined in many of 1,000 euros.

The defendant has previously agreed to all the consequences and benefits of the agreement, the deal has been made voluntarily and consulted with his defender, lawyer Lubomir Pantovic, reports “Justice Vowing”.

Prosecutor Bekim Kodraliu said the agreement was reached in accordance with legal provisions.

The judge of the case has concluded that legal conditions for admitting guilt have been met.

In his speech to the court, the defendant's lawyer, Lubomir Pantovic, demanded that the conviction for the spying criminal act be pronounced under the agreement reached with the Special Prosecutor.

“In the name of protection, I propose to the court that for this criminal act, the defendants be pronounced sentence of 4 years and 6 months in prison, as envisioned with the plea agreement”, Pantovic said.

He stressed that there are important extenuating circumstances, including the fact that the defendant has never been convicted before, has fully co-operated with the prosecution's organs, and has shown sincere remorse for his actions.

According to the indictment filed on May 22nd 2025 by the Special Prosecutor, Vlasic has acted as an accomplice to Serbia's Intelligence and Security Agency (BIA), collecting information that jeopardised Kosovo's constitutional order and national security.

It reportedly has secretly recorded the movements of Kosovo Police and international presences in the northern part of the country, as well as collected data for Serb citizens suspected as collaborators of security institutions in Kosovo. Furthermore, he has discovered the identity of an official of the Kosovo Intelligence Agency (AKI), which he knew from the period when he himself was a member of the Kosovo Police.

In the case of the arrest on June 26th 2024 in Mitrovica, during a raid on his home, authorities have seized a long pneumatic weapon of the “Cverna Zastava” and a gas-lot pipeline spray.

The defendant's lawyer is Lubomir Pantovic, and the prosecutor of the Bekim Kodraliu case.

The “Justice Trust” has published the indictment against Vlajik, who was charged with spying after secretly recording police devices and revealing the identity of the AKI official./Periscopi/
