Prizren police seize four weapons, two people arrested

The first case took place on June 7th in the village of Mustish, the municipality of Suhareka, where after a report of domestic violence, police raided the suspect's house. During the search, a semi-automatic rifle with a dyke and a pistol, both without bullets, has been seized. Police have launched proceedings to prosecute the suspect immediately.
Another incident was recorded in the early hours of June 8th, in the village of Landovica in Prizren, where citizens reported shootings. Police units have reacted immediately and a pistol was seized at the scene. Suspect has been interviewed and released in regular procedure.
But on June 8th, around 21:05, police have detained a suspected person in Prizren's Arbana district. After physical control, a gas pistol has been found on him, which was seized as a material test. Suspect's been escorted into an interview.
In connection with these cases, two persons have been arrested, while the three suspects are facing criminal procedures for the work “keep ownership, control or unauthorized possession of the weapon”.
Kosovo police have stressed that they will continue with intensifying land controls and have called for civic co-operation, encouraging reporting any case that violates public order and security.
