Three police officials suspected of beating a man in Kline are arrested

The case has been confirmed by Constitutional Prosecutor's spokesman in Pec, Shkodran Nikci, who indicated that the incident occurred during a police operation to arrest a person suspected of criminal activity “calling”.
According to the initial report, the police patrol has intervened in a house in Kline to arrest a suspect in Kance. After the arrest, the suspect has been sent to the holding for 48 hours”, Nikci has declared.
However, he added, after analyzing the evidence gathered, it has been found that physical violence was exercised against the detainees, which constitutes elements of the criminal act of mistreatment by police officials.
The leader of this police patrol, along with two other officials, has staged physical violence against the defendants. The same ones today were interviewed and, at the prosecutor's decision, stopped for 48 hours, he said.
Meanwhile, a day earlier the Kosovo Police Inspectorate has recommended the suspension of three police officials from the Kline Police Station.
IPK investigators have begun to take investigative action based on IPK legal authorisations, while the incident where the three police officials allegedly were involved reportedly took place on June 28th 2025 on the “mail Cemajli” street in the town of Kline, respectively, in a citizen's backyard.
“Based on the findings of the initial investigation there is doubt that police officials have exceeded their authorisations while using force to a citizen while in their statements and official reports a version has been presented that results in complete opposition to recorded images and actual evidence”, the statement said. /Periscope/
