Police conduct surprise checks in Prizren within “Summer Season 2025x1>
Kosovo police have conducted an operation during the evening of June 21st in the city of Prizren, within the framework of the operational plan “Sezon Veror 2025”, forwarded Periscope.
During searches in several city neighborhoods, locals and vehicles, police announced that a person with a belt knife was stopped. The suspect has been accompanied to the police station and the investigation into unauthorized possession of the weapon has been initiated.
Police have further announced that the raids will continue to ensure order and security during the summer season.

Unexpected checks within the operating plan “Sezon Veror 2025”
Prizren, June 22, 2025
Last night, on the 2106.2025th, Kosovo Police, the Prizren Police Station, respectively, in co-operation with the Narcotics Trafficking Unit and with the support of the Speed Response Units (NJRSH) from Pristina, Gekova and Ferizaj, in close co-ordination with the Founding Prosecutor's Office in Prizren, have carried out a planned operation with surprise control of persons in some locals and vehicles in various neighbourhoods of Prizren's city.
This operation has been developed within the framework of the operational plan “Seson Veror 2025”, which aims to increase public safety and prevent illegal activities and negative phenomena during the summer season.
During this operation, at least one person has found a generation knife. The suspect has been escorted to the police station for interviewing, and investigative procedure for criminal work has been initiated “retaining ownership, control or unauthorized possession of weapons”.
Kosovo police will continue with such activities in the function of ensuring order and public security for all citizens, especially during the summer season.
