Notification:
Appeals for Care and Security in the Mountain area of Shtrpce
Honored citizens and visitors,
Based on information collected from the ground, a significant increase in wildlife presence has been observed especially in the territory of the Shrpca municipality.
Daily reports show that these animals are seen near settlements, posing a direct threat to the safety of citizens.
The situation becomes even more disturbing in mountainous areas around Brezovica, especially around Sterpza Lakes, with emphasis on Jazynza Lake, where there are large numbers of tourists and local and foreign visitors every day.
Many are in close contact with wild animals, taking photos and videos from inappropriate distances (only 10-20 m away), actions that can lead to serious consequences for their lives.
We prefer to all citizens, especially families with children, to show increased care during their stay in nature and to avoid any approach to wild animals.
In co-operation with responsible institutions, information and prevention measures will be undertaken.
We also invite the media to help distribute this appeal, with the aim of consciousness of citizens and the protection of life and health of all.
