Kosovo Democratic Party Secretary General Vlora Citaku, at a news conference today, has announced holding the PDK General Convention, which will be held on 21 June 2025 and will have electoral character.
Citaku stressed that this 11th consecutive Convention is a significant moment for the party, not only as statuteary obligation, but as a confirmation of the democratic power and internal unity of the PDK.
“Under the leadership of Chairman Memli Krasniqi, the past four years have been years of work, reform and recovery for PDK. We have scored significant victories in local elections, significantly increased civic support in the February 9th elections, and made major steps towards internationalising our party,” said Citaku.
She also announced that the only candidate for the president of the Democratic Party of Kosovo in this Convention is Memli Krasniqi, currently chairman of PDK a candidacy confirming unity, support and confidence in its vision and leadership.
“The Democratic Party of Kosovo is a party with state experience, upbuilding stories, and with the capacity to lead Kosovo towards the next chapter of development and Euro-Atlantic integration. So, with this Convention, we are not just choosing the leadership of the party, but we are preparing for running the country”, Citaku said.
The secretary of the Democratic Party of Kosovo added that the next victory starts on 21 June and will continue on 12 October, in local elections. /Periscope/
