She stressed that Kosovo is determined to become a full part of the Euro-Atlantic states family and that alliances with the US, the European Union and partnership with NATO allies constitute pillars of regional sustainability and contribute directly to the security of Euro-Atlantic space.
At one of the most prestigious universities in Central Europe, President Osmani stopped at the role of education as the bridge between nations and as the foundation for long-term co-operation. She expressed gratitude for the support students from Kosovo have received over the years from Eötvös Loránd University and Hungarian institutions.
Pointing to the historic dimension of Albanian-Hungarian relations, the president paid attention to the contribution of the two collection figures -- Gjergji Kandriot Skenderbeu and Janos Hunyadi:
“in the XV century, Albanians and Hungarians stood side by side for the protection of European civilisation. It was an alliance on spiritual values built on common values such as freedom, identity, and dignity. Today, in a changing Europe, this inspiring legacy instructs us to build partnerships that reflect common vision for a peaceful and united future. ”
The president also stressed that relations between Kosovo and Hungary have great potential to deepen in areas such as renewable energy, tourism, technology and education, underlining that sustainable progress is built on investment in youth and the creation of intercultural understanding bridges./Periscopi/
