President Osmani has named this meeting a significant moment of inter-institutional co-operation between Kosovo and Albania. It is my pleasure to welcome Albania's Parliament Speaker, Elisa Spiropali, today. We discussed the importance of co-operation between our two sister states,” Osmani declared through an official Facebook post.
During the meeting, the focus was on the role of women in peace, security and decision-making, as well as strengthening the strategic partnership between the two countries. The two sides agreed on the necessity of deeper co-ordination on security issues, sustainable development and Euro-Atlantic integration.
Spiropal's visit to Kosovo and its participation in the Forum for Women, Peace and Security emphasises the common importance both states devote to women's role in building a safer and more equitable future in the region. /Periscope/
